Announcements for our Church Family

Valentine’s Banquet

On Tuesday, February 13th, join your sweetie and our church family for a Valentine’s Banquet here at Andover. We will have a catered meal, entertainment and a time to celebrate a special night. The cost for this event will be $12 per person and child care will be provided (additional $5). To attend, sign up in the back of the sanctuary and see Mike Rudzinski for details. Payments may be placed in the offering with “Banquet” in the memo line.

Wonderfully Made Event – February 9 and 10

The Wonderfully Made retreat is a fantastic resource for 5th graders designed to help children understand their bodies, the changes they are going through, and how God loves them now and always. First Church is sponsoring this incredible opportunity and will be partnering with our District and several other churches in the area. To register or to get more information visit 1stumc.org/wonderfully-made

Children’s Help

Are you looking for a way to get more involved at church? Do you want to get to know the awesome 4th and 5th graders at Andover? The 4th and 5th grade Sunday School Class is looking for a new teacher. Pastor Jim has been teaching this class, but needs to step down in order to take care of other things during the Sunday School hour. We are looking for a few adults who would be willing to teach the class once or twice a month. If you are interested in serving in this way or want more information, please talk to Hannah Wittenberg or Pastor Jim.

Missed a Week, Check out the Website

If you’ve missed a Sunday, you can easily catch up by visiting our website – andover.1stumc.org for links to past bulletins, announcements, sign ups for events and to hear last week’s sermon.

Goals and our 2018 Pledges

Toward the end of 2017, many of us presented cards that were commitments to love our church with our Prayers, Presence, Gifts, Service and Witness. Now that 2018 has begun, and our goals are firmly established, our staff will be making calls and sending emails as follow up to what has been presented. Thank you in advance for your willingness to jump in and help our church be all that God has invited us to be.
