Adult Education Class Descriptions

The Road Less Traveled (Room 2): A group of 20-40-somethings who study that scripture passage used in the sermon each week. This lively discussion based group also meets outside of Sunday morning socially each month. Contact: Brad Rudolph

Sentinel Class (Room 3): A Bible study class for all ages and stages of life. We emphasize understanding and applying the Bible in today’s world. This is a moderated discussion group that will build your bible knowledge and help you connect with others. Contact: Dick Dedic

Faithful Living (Room 4): Faithful living is a series of choices, decisions, commitments, and changes that can move us toward God. Each choice that leads to life, love, God, and neighbor repeats in us a measure of Abraham’s faith, who by faith ‘set out, not knowing where he was going’. To follow Christ, to commit to marriage, to parent a child, to serve a stranger, and to respond to a vocation, move us in trust to places we cannot now see. Faithful living is edgy, unpredictable, adventuresome, and scary. John Wesley established faith communities with mentors, peers, friends, and fellow journeyers to help people move forward daily. Join us, the “Faithful Living” Sunday school class, at 11am in the Friendship room as we journey together. Contact Mary or Jason Aycock

First Class (Kitchen): Cliff & Amy Wargelin are leading this class through Richard Foster’s classic book “The Celebration of Discipline”.

Friendship Class (Left side of the Education Building): A friendly class of couples and singles who focus upon lessons from Scripture as well as studying Biblically-based books. Coffee and good fellowship are a given! Studies are normally 4-6 weeks in length. Contact Randy Greenup.

Small Groups: We offer a variety of small group opportunities on Tuesday mornings at 10am and Sunday evenings at 5:30pm.

Women’s Groups: We have two groups of women who meet monthly. The Rachel Circle meets the 1st Wednesday of the month at 10am and the SIS Circle meets the 3rd Thursday of the month at 6pm. The groups focus on a variety of topics and both have a focus on service projects.
