11 Yes, you will be enriched in every way so that you can always be generous. And when we take your gifts to those who need them, they will thank God. 12 So two good things will result from this ministry of giving—the needs of the believers in Jerusalem* will be met, and they will joyfully express their thanks to God.
Actions matter. Words matter. Intentions matter. Let’s just say that everything matters! Everything we do impacts other people whether we choose to acknowledge it or not. Even the most private of things impact others because they impact us which impacts the way we look at the world and interact with others. So now that we’ve established our interdependency. The question becomes “Do our thoughts, words, deeds move others to praise God?” Or do we draw attention to something other than God by what we do, say, feel? The choice is quite real.
Lord, may all our actions shine a light upon your love. May everything we say, do, and think point toward our faith in you. Use us to spread the Good News in every interaction we have this day. Amen.
