          Interested in Tutoring?
I would like to invite `people to get involved in the Woodhill Tutoring program.  We serve 1st. through 5th. grade students from Breckinridge Elementary School. on Mon. – Thursday. from 2:45 – 4:30.  We ask volunteers to choose ONE of these days and hopefully they will tutor the same one to two  students all through the year.  This allows the tutor to build a good relationship with the student and the parent (or other adult) who picks up the student. A very good working relationship is established with the school social worker and teachers who refer the student and they are grateful for this kind of support. If you are interested call Kathie Beach at 299-4227 or send an email to kathrynbeach99@gmail.com for more information.

A fun way to Support the High Street Neighborhood….
Purchase a Macy’s shopping pass for $5.00. All of the money goes directly to the High Street Neighborhood daycare. The shopping passes are good for 20% off of every purchase you make on Saturday, August 29th. The passes will be available on Sunday August 22nd. See Lila Fleming.
ABC Training – August 30th
On Sunday, August 30th after church there will be training for the Acolytes, Bible bearers and Crucifers. For more details, contact Angela Davis – angeladavis@yahoo.com

Do you have the time/desire to do a little more…
1) How about being a “grace bearer”. This means that once a month you take communion to one of our home bound members. The sacraments and liturgy sheets are provided on Communion Sunday.
2) How about participating in the flower ministry? If 4 people volunteer, this would also be once per month with at least one person taking the lead.
3) How about being part of a team that straightens the sanctuary each week?

These are a few of our immediate needs at Andover. If you are interested in any of these, please contact Vicki Lanham – vicki.lanham@yahoo.com or 608-0563.

Upcoming meetings – Downtown – 6:00PM
Sept 8 – Vision Team
